Connecting the community through trading skills
Invitation to an orientation evening about Time Banking
Do you need somebody to help you with the gardening? Would you like to pass on your handyman skills?
What is timebanking? Timebanking is a way of trading skills, knowledge and services within the community. The trading currency is time, measured in time credits. You can earn these time credits for the work you do, and spend them by ‘buying’ another member’s time for a service you need.
Timebanking values each person and each skill as equal to another – one hour of child minding is the same as one hour wood chopping.
Time banking builds supportive networks and strengthens the community. Anybody can join: individuals, families, groups and businesses.
Want to learn more? By attending an orientation you can earn your first time credits.
